Kenneth A. Patterson

Kenneth A. Patterson, age 84, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Sycamore Run Center. He was born on July 11, 1937, to Harold and Alice (Tisserand) Patterson in Warren, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Larry Myerchin.  He is survived by his sisters Carol Myerchin and Karen (Nelson) Wallis; nephews: Joel (Aimee) Wallis and Philip (Megan) Wallis: great-nieces: Abigail, Allison, Fiona and Madeline; great-nephews: Ethan, Isaac, Luke and Levi; other relatives and many friends.

Kenn graduated from Warsaw High School in 1957. In 1959 he graduated from Ashland College with a BS in Business Education. He taught for 37 years, first at Byesville High School then at West Holmes High School when he retired in 1996., He was very active as a class advisor many times and the sport teams, especially the  cross country and track teams. He was often called “KP” by his students.

Kenn was a charter member of the Millersburg Baptist Church and was very active from the beginning until his declining health. He enjoyed studying the Bible and witnessing for the Lord, playing the piano, teaching Sunday school classes, and working in Awana.  He was a fierce prayer warrior and sharing his love of the Lord with many people. He was always interested in knowing how his nephews and their families were doing.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday Oct. 3, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at the Millersburg Baptist Church. If you wish to have a memorable moment read at the service please email your comment to millersburgbaptist@embarqmail.com  by Oct. 1.

A private family graveside service will be held in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be given to the Millersburg Baptist Church-Kitchen Project, 685 S. Washington Street, Millersburg, Ohio 44654.
