Karen Sue Stough, age 73, of Wooster Ohio passed away Tuesday morning, May 13th, 2025 at Cleveland Clinic's Akron General Hospital following a period of declining health. 

A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio. A private family committal service will take place at Nashville Cemetery following the celebration of life. 

Karen was born July 28th, 1951 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of John D. and Ruth V. (Hall) Smith. Her favorite job was working at Gruders Home for MRDD in New Pittsburgh. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years, playing BINGO and painting rocks. She was a social butterfly who never met a stranger.

She is survived by her two daughters: Stacy Stough of Smithville and Betty Jane "BJ" Stough (James Collins) of Clayton, NC; four grandchildren: Dominique (Thomas) Edwards, Dakota Bigmeat, Autumn Collins and James Collins; five great-grandchildren; four siblings: Patricia Riggle of Strasburg, John Smith of Glenmont, Dennis Smith of Wooster and Alyce (David) Garnes of Lakeville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her life partner, William Campbell; siblings: Dorothy Nuckols, Beulah Mike, Charles "Bob" Smith, Virginia Smith and Ruthie Smith; a brother-in-law, Frank Riggle; and a granddaughter, Morgan Stough.
