Julia Davinia Van Oss, nee Buren
Beloved mother of Howard (Sharon) and David (Janie) Van Oss; grandmother of Glenn (Kelly) and Brian (Sherrie) Van Oss; and great-grandmother of Madeline, Brady, Ethan and Aubry Van Oss; passed peacefully in her sleep on September 3rd, 2022. Her father David T. Buren and mother Ruby Virginia Buren, nee Snyder, and her brother Delmar S. Buren predeceased her. She was married to Clarence J. Van Oss, Jr., of Columbus.
Educated in Holmes and Coshocton County Schools and Kent State University, she worked as an aircraft inspector at Curtiss-Wright Corp. in Columbus during WWII; she studied aviation and motel management.
She served the general public in the restaurant industry at the Riviera, Hoover's, Everglades, Denison University, OSU's Don Scott Field, Antler Inn, Lombardo's and Meijer's.
She enjoyed hand crafts, collecting, reading, organizing family reunions and socializing with her friends and colleagues.
A graveside service will be held at Killbuck Cemetery, Killbuck, Ohio.
