Judy E. Smith, age 79, of Wooster, Ohio and formerly of Millersburg passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Smithville Western Care Center following a period of declining health.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wayne County Humane Society.
Judy was born November 28, 1941 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of Briel and Sarah (Spake) Fortune. On October 1, 1961 she married Wallace F. Smith and he preceded her in death on September 16, 2010.
Judy was a graduate of Millersburg High School. She worked for United Telephone of Wooster as a telephone operator and was a homemaker. She loved traveling and RV'ing across the country with her husband.
She is survived by two children and their spouses, Judith E. (Tim) McAfee of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and David W. (Lorri) Smith of Canton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Justin Smith of Wooster, Ohio, Sean (Brandy) McAfee of Ft Wayne, Indiana and Chelsea Smith of Orrville, Ohio; two great-grandchildren Mason and Gavin McAfee; siblings, John (Sandy) Fortune of South Carolina, Bertha Hoffman of Wooster, Ohio and Gary (Jackie) Fortune of Millersburg, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wallace.
