Joseph Wm. Howell Jr, age 72, of Wooster, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2023 after a period of declining health.

Joey was born December 21, 1950 and Wooster, Ohio to Lillian (Robinson) Howell and Joseph Howell Sr. He grew up in Smithville and attended Smithville High School. As a young man he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing football and dancing. He loved spending time with his daughter Angela, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family. Joey also loved fishing and watching deer. Joey worked as a drywall hanger for several years and worked in various factories before retiring.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Howell (Chuckie Adams) of Wooster, Ohio; grandchildren: Mercedes (Tim) White of West Salem, Trevor Howell of Wooster and Wyatt Adams of Wooster; great grandchildren: Liliana Howell and Carson White of West Salem; his sister and best friend, Vickie (Donnie) Rouse of Wooster; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends: Marcia Howell - Chaney, Betty Persinger, Karen Ingold and Sharon Shane all of Wooster.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph William Howell III; his mother, Lillian Howell; a sister, Shirley French; brothers: Larry Pyle and Richard Howell; and special friend, Shirley Whipkey.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio.  A Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.
