John Drake Durst, age 77, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Friday, December 6th, 2024 at Wooster Community Hospital following a brief illness.

John was born October 16th, 1947 in Barberton, Ohio and was the son of Darrell and Marjorie Durst.
On July 24th, 1976 he married Holly Irving Durst and she survives.

John grew up in Massillon, Ohio and enjoyed spending his summers with his grandparents in New Glarus, Wisconsin. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Dairy Science from Colorado State University and was employed by the Ohio Agriculture Research and Development Center for 30 years, working in the Dairy Science Department. John loved to travel across country on his motorcycle. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and dearly loved animals (except horses).

Surviving in addition to his wife, Holly, is his son, Christopher (Morgan) Durst of Millersburg and his grandchildren: Lennon and Roman Durst.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family graveside service will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Holmes County Dog Warden's Department and Adoption Center.
