Jo Ann Ramseyer

Jo Ann Ramseyer, 82, of Millersburg, passed into the arms of our Lord on April 2, 2021 from complications of lung cancer. She was born in Madison, Wisconsin to George and Thelma (Ted) Fudge and grew up in Wooster and Wilmington, Ohio. She attended Ohio State University where she met her husband Robert Ramseyer. She graduated with a BS in Nursing in 1960, married Robert, and they started their family in Millersburg.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, children Robyn (Joel) Menuez, Kristin (Marc) Yabroff, Heidi (Brian) Barbey and Brian (Leah) Ramseyer, all of Millersburg, and a brother, Don (Saundra) Fudge of Newark. Nine grandchildren include Ben, Eric, Brock and Brenna Barbey, Jessica and Robert Yabroff, and Trinity, Brice and Macie Ramseyer.

To her family she was known as Jo, Charlie, Go-Go, Grandma, Mom, Dr. Mom and Jo Rodhe (for her always well stocked pantry). She enjoyed many handcrafts, supporting her children's and grandchildren’s activities and was an avid reader. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and had served on the church Council. She recently stepped down after more than 20 years as the director of the Holmes County Service Unit of the Salvation Army.  

Thank you to the in-home nurses from Lifecare Hospice. There will be no calling hours or memorial service.
