Jo Ann Marks (Yannayon)
Jo Marks, 72, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Aultman hospital following a brief illness.
Jo was born December 28, 1948 in West Virginia and was the daughter of Jessie Elizabeth and Charles Henry Yannayon. She moved to Ohio at the age of 3 and was baptized in 1988 and remained an avid member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Jo had a kind and compassionate spirit and had a positive impact on the lives of many. Her laugh and smile were infectious.
Jo married Clarence Jay (Butch) Marks August 2, 1974. He, along with her 3 children; Steve Marks, Tracey Clay, and Ken (Kim) Marks survive her. Jo enjoyed spending time with her family and is survived by her siblings Lynn (Don) Wright, Dave (Joyce) Yannayon. Terry (Patty) Yannayon, Gloria France, Dana Yannayon, Donna Yannayon, and Rick Yannayon. She was a valuable part of her 7 grandchildren’s lives and enjoyed her 8 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
A public viewing and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 13 at 1 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1388 Liahona Dr. Wooster, OH.
The family thanks the staff at Pomerene and Aultman hospitals for the exceptional care and compassion expressed over the course of Jo’s illness.
