Jerimie S. Ellis, age 51, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026, following a brief illness.

Jerimie was very passionate about SAVE22, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans, first responders, and active-duty service members. The family requests that donations be made in his memory.

Jerimie was born on April 1st, 1974, in Millersburg, Ohio, and was the son of James Lee Ellis and Sandra Marie Cook.

Jerimie graduated from West Holmes High School in 1992. He joined the United States Navy, where he traveled to several places, including Connecticut, Washington, Hawaii, and South Carolina. He served onboard the USS Stonewall Jackson until its decommission and later the USS Alaska, both ballistic missile submarines.

He was the owner and operator of Jellis Audio LLC and was the founder of the Summer Ends Festival. Jerimie will be remembered for his longstanding contribution to the music community, his band Save Whats Left, and his involvement with MECA (Mobile Electronics Competition Association). He enjoyed racing his car 002 on the dirt track. Jerimie lived life to the fullest on his own terms and was considered a legend by all who had the privilege to know and love him. His legacy will continue through his children.

Jerimie is survived by his children: Xavier Ellis, Brice Ellis, and Nya Ellis (fiancé, Taylor Stutz); grandson, Thayson Ellis; his special friend, Nikki Noble; father, James Ellis; biological father Lonnie Miller; six sisters: Tracy Ellis, Angela Chaney (Rex), Ashley "Ash" Watts (Kevin), Chasity Gow, Candis Smith, and Holly Teeple; several nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Scott and Derek.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sandra Cook; Grandma Nanny; Papa Cook; and his grandparents, Jim and Myrna Ellis.
