Jeffrey Dean Currey, age 75 of Millersburg, Ohio passed away peacefully at Majora Lane Nursing Home on Sunday, April, 6 2025 following a lengthy illness. Jeffrey was born on July 18th, 1949 in South Bend, Indiana to Jay and Gertrude (Hunt) Currey. He graduated from Firestone High School in Akron, Ohio in 1967. Jeff attended Kent State University from 1967 to 1971. Jeff enjoyed playing bass guitar for several bands, and was especially proud to have played for the band "Lacewing", which was recorded and published in 1971. Jeff moved to Brimfield, Ohio where he became plant manager for MIA Sound Laboratories, a cabinet manufacturer. In 1974 to 1979, Jeff became a self-employed designer and builder for Market Electronics in Willoughby, Ohio. There, Jeff built more than 35,000 cabinets. Later, Jeff moved to Holmes County, Ohio and began working for AL Resch Builder. In 1984, Jeff became an independent builder, and was truly a Jack of all trades. Jeff loved big game hunting, traveling to Alaska, Namibia Africa, British Columbia, Canada, New Zealand, Colorado and Idaho. His most cherished memory was traveling to Africa to hunt with his close friend, Jack Whitney.

Jeff leaves behind his loving wife, Miriam "Mimi" Estep Currey; sister, Kathleen "Kitty" Currey Park; brother, Jason Currey; children: Marcus Currey, Jay Currey, Brittany Currey Negrette, and Shelley Cooley Banks; and stepdaughters, Shanna Littleton and Cassandra Sarelis. Jeff had several grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and a brother-in-law, Douglas Estep, whom he loved very much.

At Jeff's request, there will be no calling hours. Alexander Funeral Home of Millersburg, Ohio is assisting the family. Friends May donate to the Alzheimer's association.
