Jeffrey Craig Sr.

Jeffrey Allen Craig of Millersburg, Ohio, passed away on May 6, 2026, following a lengthy decline in health. He was born on April 22, 1958, in Wooster, Ohio.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Ralph E. Craig, who passed away on March 8, 1962, and his mother, Rosemarie Craig (Kutz, MacMurdo), who passed away on October 31, 1962. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Barbara Appleman and Beverly Lee, both of Wooster, and his brother, Donald “Chip” MacMurdo of Tucson. His father was the manager of DeVault Chevrolet in Orrville, Ohio, and his mother worked as a secretary. Jeff was raised by his sister, Beverly Lee, and her husband, Robert Lee, of Big Prairie.

Jeff graduated from Hiland High School in 1976. Following graduation, he worked in the oil fields and later at Holmes Cheese.

He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Craig of Millersburg, Ohio; his stepson, Derek Stowers; and his partner, June Gotham of Millersburg; his sisters, Marcia Stewart of Ashland, Ohio, Julie Starr, Barb Champion (Dale Sorchy), and Peg Fawcett (Doug), all of Wooster, Ohio; and his brothers, Tom Lee (Dawn) of Millersburg, Ohio, and Andy Lee (Patty Goff) of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Jeff had a lifelong love of sports and was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Cleveland Guardians. He seldom missed a televised game.

He will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to the teams he followed faithfully, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 2 to 5 pm at the American Legion Hall, 9150 State Route 83, north of Holmesville.
