Janie (Chapman) Patterson

Janie Patterson, age 65, of Killbuck, Ohio passed away suddenly on Monday, June 1st, 2020 at her residence following a short battle with cancer.
Friends may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the Killbuck Cemetery. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. on Friday with Rick Chapman and Cory Allison officiating.

Janie was born September 16th, 1954 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of R. Dean and Josie (Simmons) Chapman. On November 25th, 1972 she married Thomas L. Patterson and he survives. 
Janie was a 1973 graduate of West Holmes High School. She previously worked for Inn Maid Noodles, Landon's IGA in Killbuck, Castle Nursing Homes and Sycamore Run Nursing Home. She had attended the Killbuck United Methodist Church, where she was baptized. Janie loved her two dogs Bandit and Nelson, horses, campfires and spending time with family. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and show their 4-H  animals.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 47 years are two children, Mindy (David) Miller of Lakeville and Dustin Patterson (Jess Van Dalen) of Killbuck; three grandchildren, Cody and Jess Miller and Derrick Patterson; Kaitlyn, Destiny and Logan whom she considered her grandchildren; a sister, Sandy (Jim) Tracy of Killbuck, OH; a brother, Jeff (Chris) Chapman of Toboso, OH; sister-in-law, Pat Chapman of Canton, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Harry and Ruby Patterson; a brother, Barry Chapman; her son, Jody Patterson; and a nephew, Johnny Simpson.
