Janet Elaine Swagler 86, of Killbuck, Ohio, passed away November 18, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.

Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 24th at Alexander Funeral Home, with Pastor Ken Smailes officiating. Burial will follow at Nashville Cemetery, Nashville, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital (Attn: Shriners Children's, Processing Center, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394).

Janet was born October 31, 1939, in Jimtown, Ohio and was the daughter of Charles R. and Ferne A. (Weaver) Faler. She married Calvin Swagler on August 24, 1958, and he survives. Janet spent many hours working on puzzles, word searches, and scrap booking. She attended Nashville Global Methodist Church. Janet retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 25 years of service.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 67 years Calvin, are daughters Brenda (Gary) Piatt and Barbara (Doug) Polen; grandchildren Mindy (Nate) Tharp, Trent (Monica) Piatt, Kyle (Ashley) Polen, Jenna (Ryan) Jacobs, Brittany (Kyle) Buente; great-grandchildren Ali and Lincoln Tharp, Annabella, Audrey and Evelyn Piatt, Oliver Polen, Avery and Kayce Jacobs; and brother Larry (Shirley) Faler.
