Jackie L. Taylor, age 61, of Wooster, Ohio passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Aultman Hospital surrounded by her family.

Jackie was born October 23, 1961 in Wooster, Ohio to Wilford and Betty (McIntyre) Immel. She married Darrell L. Taylor Sr. on September 8th 2007, who was the love of her life and wanted to be by her side all the way to the end.

Jackie was a homemaker for the past several years. She loved watching the show Friends, making egg and cheese sandwiches at 4 a.m. with her granddaughter, Jamie, and hanging out with family. She also loved baking for the holidays for her family to enjoy, loved blaring her favorite music while driving around for yard sales and she enjoyed her flower beds. She had a caring and giving heart and worked on many benefits from start to finish to help those in need. She loved her family deeply and with everything she had.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Darrell are children: Cindy (James) Boughman, Amanda (Joey) Stapleton, Lizabeth (Robert) Lapp, Matthew (Nancy) Rouge and Caitlin Rister; step children that she loved as her own: Rachel Taylor, Darrell Jr., Taylor (Brandy), Sammy Taylor (Brian), Shauna (James) Graser, and Christopher (Sarah) Graser; grandbabies: Brandon, Gage, Jamie (Dino), Abbie (Dylan), Dwayne, Alissa (Brandon), Amy (Adrian), Ashton, Aiden, Tasha, Jaden, Maddie, Jayla, Dillon, Josh (Morgan), Hunter, TJ, Max, Collin, Bryson, Zoe, Brittany, Casey, Cody, Cory, Timothy, JD (Sammi), AJ, Benjamin (who she was raising for the past 6 yrs. He was her pride and joy and the reason she kept going; great grandbabies: Wynter, Tate, Adaleigh, Sophia, and Timothy; Sisters: Sandy (Tom) Beutler and Susan (Ray) Sharp; two son-in-laws: Adam Stapleton and Basil Boggess; brothers-in-law: Ken Taylor (Terri) and Dana Taylor; sister-in-laws: Denise and Nanette; nieces: Stephanie, Stacey, and Maryann; Nephews: Aaron, Steven, and Richie; and many great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by special friends: Dot Crane, Lenard, Paula Ball, and Fred Cline; Sherry Ross, Chris Asbury, Mark Cunningham, and Carrie Kimble.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Sweeney; brothers: Edwin Oldman, Robert Stutzman, and Harold Dean Fortune; a nephew, Brian; the fathers of her children: David Graser and Everett Rister; father-in- law, Donald Taylor; sister-in-law, Doreen; two angel grandbabies; best friend, Joanne Whytsell; and her dog, Max.


Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 26th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio.  Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 27th at Sunnyside Cemetery, Glenmont, Ohio with Pastor Ed Stivers officiating.
