Jack M. "8 ball" Johnson, age 81 of Lake Buckhorn passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Holmes County Home with his wife by his side, following an extended illness.
A Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, October 17th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Lake Buckhorn Hall, 1817 SR 83, Millersburg, Ohio. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Holmes County Home for the excellent personal care Jack received while he was a resident. They suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Holmes County Home.
Jack was born July 26, 1940 in Wayne County Ohio and was the son of Herbert and Donna (Marshall) Johnson. On October 19, 1973 he married Lola and she survives.
Jack worked for Miller Sohio in Wooster before opening his own business, Jack's Quik Lube in Wooster and also in Coshocton. He was a charter member of the Millersburg Glass Association, Fredericksburg Pottery and was a member of the Millersburg Eagles #2418. Jack was a veteran of the US Army. He raced stock cars and late models, liked to boat and snowmobile, enjoyed traveling in his motorhome and he never missed his grandkids sporting events. He loved to have fun and made countless memories that will never be forgotten.
Surviving in addition to Lola, his wife of soon-to-be 48 years are his two daughters, Kelly (Bob) Hinds of Millersburg and Kia (Brad) Wagner of Orrville; five grandchildren, J.D. Collett, Samantha (Joey) Weaver, Colton Collett (Beth), Kiowa Looney (fiancee, Halleigh) and Bobby (Erin) Hinds; six great-grandchildren, Lola and E. Ridge Weaver, Althea and Savannah Collett, and Landry and Lowen Hinds; siblings, Ben (Eleanor) Johnson, Lynn (Virginia) Johnson, Rick (Betsy) Johnson, Janet Vial, Virginia Michel and Randy Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Herb (Patricia) Johnson; and brother-in-law, Roy Vial.
