Iva J. (Miller) Yutzy

Iva J. (Miller) Yutzy, age 84, of Berlin, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22nd at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor Stephen Schlabach of Sarasota, Florida officiating. Burial will be at the Hochstetler Farm Cemetery near Benton. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Iva was born June 6, 1938 in Holmes County, Ohio and was the daughter of John J. and Fanny (Kuhns) Miller. She married Herman Troyer and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1974. She later married Clarence Yutzy and he survives.

Iva was a devout Christian and active in lay ministry for many years.  She wrote a book called "Faith Confessions from the Word of God," and for several years operated a small Christian bookstore in Indiana. Over the years she lived in Ohio, North Carolina, Indiana, and Florida.  She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She especially loved reminiscing about fond memories growing up in a large loving family on the farm.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Clarence are children: Rocky Troyer of Berlin, Ohio, Jon (Anita) Troyer of Hartville, Ohio, and Clarence's children Mike (Brenda) Yutzy of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Carol (Paul) Maust of South Bend, Indiana and Kathy (Larry) Kappes of Lafayette, Indiana; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Levi Sommers of Aiken, South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Herman; infant son, Ricky Lewis Troyer; and siblings: Anna Hershberger, Albert Miller, Atlee Miller, Elva Raber, Mary Boley, Esther Miller, Nora Sommers and Roy and Verna who both passed away in childhood. Iva would like nothing more than that you should know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and be part of that great family reunion in Heaven someday.
