WALNUT CREEK- Irene Ruth Jackson, 92, of Walnut Creek, went home to be with the Lord,
Wednesday morning, November 25th,
2020, at Walnut Hills Retirement Home, after a short illness.
A private graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg was held, Saturday, November 29th
officiated by Pastor Jim Jamison of Millersburg Baptist Church where Irene was a member, and a
celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Answers In Genesis, P.O. Box 510, Hebron, KY

Irene was born January, 14th, 1928, in Endicott, N.Y., the daughter of William and Alene Reynolds, and on June 10th, 1949, married Dr. Mark Jackson. For 40+ years, Irene was a faithful pastor's wife known for her hospitality and care for others. She was also a faithful prayer warrior, especially for her family.
Irene enjoyed traveling abroad, especially to the Holy Land and Switzerland.
Surviving are children, Sheryl Jackson of Florence, KY, Laurie (Greg) Rekward of Waterloo, IA, and
Lynne (Ed) Miller of Millersburg, OH; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Jackson Lowe (Ronnie) of Cary, NC;
11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and siblings, William Reynolds of San Antonio, TX and James
Reynolds of Minoa, NY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Phyllis Edward (Reynolds), husband who passed away
March 7th
, 2016, and a son, Paul K. Jackson, who passed away February 12th
, 2005.
The family would like to thank the staff who cared for mom at Walnut Hills Retirement Home. Both the
residents and staff were truly family to mom.
