H. Richard “Dick” Maxwell

H. Richard “Dick” Maxwell, age 91, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, Ohio.

Dick was born October 25, 1929 in Millersburg.  He married L. Jean Stafford September 15, 1952; she preceded him in death on August 8, 2020.

Dick was a graduate of Millersburg High School and The Ohio State University.  He served in the US Navy and was co-owner of Maxwell Brothers Clothing Store for many years.  In his retirement years Dick enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with his family and playing golf.

He is survived by two children; daughter, Kim (Dave) Croft of Millersburg and a son, Horace Richard Maxwell III of Millersburg; two grandchildren, Emilie (Andy) Rickly and Nealie (Donavin) Farber; five great grandchildren, Maxwell and Mackinley Rickly and Elliott, Lucy and Jack Farber; and two siblings, John Maxwell and Cindy (Wayne) McDowell both of Millersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister-in-law, Joy Maxwell.
