Glenn M. Schworm

Glenn M. Schworm, age 95, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Friday morning, April 28, 2023 following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6th at St. John's Church of Millersburg with pastors: Dr. Reverend Kenneth Walther and Sara Charlton officiating. Burial will take place at Fryburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 5th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio.

Glenn was born November 28, 1927 in North Canton, Ohio and was the son of Lawrence and Laura (Marchand) Schworm. On August 3, 1949 he married Ola Clark and she preceded him in death on April 21, 2009. Glenn was a graduate of Jackson Township High School's class of 1945. After high school, he joined the US Army serving 3 years in Germany. Once he returned to Canton, he worked for his cousin's construction company. He moved to Millersburg in 1960. Glenn worked for the Operating Engineers Union for 60 years as a crane operator. He was a woodworker and was a well known wood carver. He was an early member of St. John's Church in Millersburg where he was very active.

He is survived by three children and their spouses: David (Kathy) Schworm of Annapolis, Maryland, Thomas (Rose) Schworm of Casselberry, Florida and Trudy (Mark) Lafferty of Massillon, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and two sisters: Betty and Mildred. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ola; and a sister, Vera.
