Gerald Gene Kiner, age 90 of Dalton, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare, Wooster, Ohio after a period of declining health. 

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 11th in the chapel at Coshocton Memory Gardens, Coshocton, Ohio with Pastor James Groves officiating. There will be no calling hours. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Ohio's Hospice LifeCare of Wooster. 

Gerald was born May 18, 1934 in Holmes County, Ohio and was the son of Charles C. and Gladys A. (Starner) Kiner. From 1961 to 2007 he was married to Elizabeth "Libby" Criddle Kiner. He later married Catherine May Carillon Miller on June 19, 2010 and she survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife Catherine are children, Hilda (James) Groves of West Virginia and Donald (Mary) Kiner of Holmes County; stepchildren: John (Diane) Miller of Florida, Blaine (Tammy) Miller of Wooster, Vickie (Joe) Jette of Dalton and Deborah (Ed) Ault of Smithville; 14 grandchildren; 24. Great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Carol Gisinger of Zanesville; and a brother, Galen (Sharon) Kiner of Shreve.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Justin Goudy.

Gerald worked various jobs throughout his life. He eventually retired from Owens-Illinois, now known as Owens-Brockway. Gerald was a great man of faith, doing many outreaches during his life. He was an avid reader of God's word and a prayer warrior. He will be greatly missed.
