January 20, 1946 – June 14, 2026

Gary L. Morris, 80, known to friends and family as “U-Mack” or “Fuzzy” passed away on June 14, 2026. He was born on January 20, 1946, to Lewis and Ruth (Dial) Morris and grew up outside of Glenmont on French Ridge, a place that always remained close to his heart.

On September 5, 1981, Gary married Sharon “Sherry” (Ogi) Morris, she survives.

Gary spent his early years working in the oil fields, where he built a lifetime of stories that he loved to share. He later dedicated the final 26 years of his working career to G&S Titanium in Wooster. He also took great pride in serving his community as a Knox Township Trustee, a position he held for nearly 20 years.

In retirement, Gary found joy in the simple and meaningful things, like tinkering with his “treasurers” or cutting firewood. He planted a large garden each year, not just for himself, but so he could share produce with neighbors and friends. One of his greatest roles, however, was that of “taxi driver,” faithfully picking up his granddaughters from school for the past eight years—something he never missed and deeply cherished.

Gary is survived by his loving family: his wife, Sherry; his sons, Les (Jeanna), Erick ‘Squeak’ (Stephanie), and Zac (Maria); his grandchildren, Luke (Jessie), Cody (Heidi), Nate, Reina, Hadley, and Parker; his great-grandchildren, Jackson, Brooks, Brantley, and Asher; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lynn Morris.

Gary will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his willingness to lend a hand, his storytelling, and his laugh that touched so many.

The family will host a celebration of life July 18, 2026, from 2-5 p.m. on the Morris Family Farm at Fort Fizzle 12911 County Rd 6, Killbuck, Ohio 44637.
