Gary Lee Barnhart, age 82, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 surrounded by his family following a period of declining health.

Graveside services will take place 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23rd at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. 

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Ohio's Hospice LifeCare.

Gary was born October 13, 1942 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Olus and Margaret (Hoffman) Barnhart. He married his childhood sweetheart, Linda Finney and she preceded him in death on October 27, 2020. 

Gary was a graduate of West Holmes High School. For most of his working life, he was a meat cutter in the Millersburg area. He was a member of the local Classic Car Club and was the proud owner of "Miss Vicky", his 1956 Crown Vic.   Gary was a ham radio operator and was an expert in using Morse code.

He is survived by his two daughters: Sheri (Garry) Stonebrook of Millersburg and Shelly (Troy) Sondles of Warsaw; three grandchildren: Chad (Emily) Stonebrook, Matthew Stonebrook (fiancee, Emily) and Rylee Sondles (fiance, Micah); three great-grandchildren: Anna, Kate and Jack Stonebrook; and his brother, Jim (Margie) Barnhart of Millersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Linda.
