GAYLE L. REGEL (nee KINSEY), aged 67, passed away on

November 14, 2022. Beloved wife of Bernard; loving mother of

Eric; mother-in-law of Tia (nee Robb); loving daughter of

Delores (nee Guthrie) and late Clyde; sister of the late Kevin;

sister-in-law of Donna and Charles Wyatt, Paul and Lana Regel,

and Loretta Regel; aunt of Kyle Kinsey, aunt-in-law of Amy

Kinsey and Adam Taylor, and great-aunt of Jaxon and Acen

Kinsey.

Born in 1955, she spent her early years living and enjoying farm

life in Holmes County, Ohio. She was married in 1980 and

moved to Louisiana, living in Metairie, Kenner, and most

recently River Ridge. She was a recently retired registered

nurse, admired for her knowledge, and respected as a mentor. If

you had asked her to name the most memorable day of her life,

it would be the day she gave birth to the joy of her life, Eric.

If you could sum up her life in a few words, they would be

“family, friends, faith, food and fun”. She was a loving and

devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and in-law.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed spending time with her lifelong

friends. She loved to go out to eat with her husband and friends;

in typical Louisiana style (which she always embraced), each

meal would be spent talking about where to eat next. Whether it

was hiking in Yellowstone, hosting a Saints game party, dressing

up for Halloween, or just hanging out with friends or family

playing games, she just enjoyed life and lived life to the fullest.

She may have been called by our Father too early, but she left

lasting memories to her family and friends.

 

Final burial will be 12 noon on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Nashville 

Cemetery which is directly next to Nashville United Methodist Church

(302 W. Millersburg St., Nashville, OH), where 

visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12 noon, followed by the

graveside service with Pastor Kenneth Smailes officiating.
