Floyd “Popsicle” VanSickle, age 87, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 4th, 2026, at Sycamore Run Nursing Home, Millersburg, Ohio.

Per Floyd’s wishes there will be no services.

Floyd was born on December 5, 1938, in Killbuck, Ohio, to the late Wilford and Dora (Patterson) VanSickle. He married Margaret Casey on March 14, 1959, and she preceded him in death on October 4, 2012.

Floyd worked as a truck driver for more than 53 years before retiring, spending most of his career with Seaman Corporation. He enjoyed driving truck and spending time with his family.

He is survived by children: Mitchell (Deb) VanSickle, Lori (Mitch) Michel, Cameron VanSickle and Brian (Tammy) VanSickle; grandchildren Cy (Kylie) VanSickle, Logan (Wyatt) Black, Peter Michel, Joshua VanSickle, Chelsea (Thomas) Dye and Carissa (Mac) Murray; great-grandchildren Sydney, CJ, Vivian, Thatcher, Jorgia, Joshua, Milla, Desmond, Giada, Adalia, Kaleb, Chloe and Brittany; one great-great grandchild; and siblings Shirley Kettlewell, Karen Stringfellow and Cheryl Kays. 

In addition to his wife Margaret, Floyd was preceded in death by his grandson Derek VanSickle; brothers Gene, Larry and Jack; sister Marilyn Rock and infant sister Carolyn.
