Ernest P. Sheldon (69) passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 16th at his home.  

Ernest was the son of Howard and Evelyn Sheldon and was born March 11, 1955.  He graduated from West Holmes High School, class of 1973.

After high school he worked for Bob Hoxworth farming, Shreiner Sole Company, Mason Drilling, Hatfield and Bakerwell.  Ernie then worked for and retired from Mechanic Township.  On November 18, 1978 he married Christine S. Sheldon, she survives.  

Over the years Ernie enjoyed hunting, fishing, making maple syrup and his favorite was working on hot rods and attending car shows.  He enjoyed gardening and shared that love and knowledge with his family and grandkids.  

In addition to his wife, Ernest is survived by his children, Brent (Tara) Sheldon, Carrie (Nathan) Skolmutch and Travis (Chazarae) Sheldon, his grandchildren, Jenna Sheldon, Breck Sheldon, Lane Skolmutch, Lindsey Skolmutch, Hayden Sheldon and Hollis Sheldon, and his sister, Ruth (Don) Steiner and son Ernest D. Sheldon from a prior marriage. 

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23rd at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Chris Caley officiating. Burial to follow at Killbuck Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Friday, Nov. 22nd from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home, and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
