"Together Again"

Elviria (Rose) Holcomb, age 89, of Millersburg, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, Ohio.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Karol Niehaus officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Graveside services and burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 20th at Salisbury Family Cemetery in Ivydale, West Virginia. Elvira was born October 17, 1935 in Big otter, West Virginia and was the daughter of Raymond and Hettie (Keener) Rose. She was a 1954 graduate of Clay County High School. On January 9, 1954 she married the love of her life, Leonard Holcomb. Leonard was her high school boyfriend, he loved her dearly. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1984.

Elviria worked at Castle Nursing Home for 13 years and was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church. Elviria loved flower gardening and cooking for everybody.

She is survived by four children: Bonnie (Bill) North of Galion, Ohio, Stevie Holcomb of Millersburg, Ohio, Bruce (Denise) Holcomb of Killbuck, Ohio and Martha (Mike) Lee of Millersburg, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Andy Witner, Stephanie Dixon, Jennifer (Chris) Price, Sarah (Kordell) Myers, Elizabeth Lee, Johnathon Miller, Megan (Byron) Glassford and Jamie Wheeler; six great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren, Willow and Remi. She's also survived by three siblings: Mildred Bullard, Ona Gray and Garland Rose all of West Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend and sister at heart, Margarita Cottrell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Helen, Alice, Bertha, Frank and George; and a great grandson, Boone Dixon.
