E. JoAnn Moravy age 87, of Holmesville, Ohio passed away peacefully Friday, September 6, 2024, following a period of declining health. 

 

Funeral service will be 12 noon on Wednesday, September 11th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Jackie Lewis officiating. Burial will take place in Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, Ohio. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.

JoAnn was born December 14, 1936 in Woodsfield, Ohio and was the daughter of Wilbur "Jake" and Thelma (Carson) McClain. She married Lewis Moravy and he preceded her in death in October of 2005.

 

JoAnn was a home maker. In her later years, she loved working part-time at the Holmes County sheriff's Department as a cook. She was a member of the Holmesville Methodist Church. She loved her church family and friends. She enjoyed baking, camping and spending time with family.

 

She is survived by three children: Sheila (Ron) Flinner of Shreve, Linda (Les) Donley of Holmesville and Shawn (Janelle) Moravy of Holmesville; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one more on the way.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Jack McClain.
