Dr. Daniel De Hass Obituary

Dr. Daniel Lee De Hass, 75, of Wooster, formerly of Holmes County left his temporary home on Earth to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven on Friday, May 24, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice. Dan was born on May 31, 1943 in Massillon, Ohio to Theodore and Eileen Baker De Hass. At the age of 5 Dan moved with his family to Millersburg when his parents started the Castle Nursing Home.
After high school graduation, Dan married the former Ann Starner and together they had three children by stork and two  buy jet. Dan and Ann were married for 34 years.
Dan served as a nursing home administrator for Castle and also served in law enforcement with both the MPD and Holmes County Sheriff's Department.
On December 28, 1975 a good friend of Dans introduced him to Jesus Christ and life for Dan was never again the same. Dan was well known for saying "I've never gotten over being saved". And he never did!
After leaving the family business Dan and his family moved to Lynchburg, Virginia. There he worked for Jerry farwell in security. Dan then became the Administrator of the Medical Care Center. While living in Virginia, God called Dan into the ministry of Evangelism. During his lifetime Dan had the opportunity to minister in 38 states, Canada and the Philippines.
Dan's education consisted of Christian Clinical Therapist, Adjunct Professor, Bachelor of Theology, Master of Arts in Long Term Care, Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling and Facilitator of Family Life Skills.
In 1996 Dan and his wife Amy were called to start a church on the outskirts of Killbuck, Ohio. Dan served as Pastor at Community Bible Church for nearly 13 years.
Dan never met a stranger and was known for his witty one liners.
Dan never allowed physical pain or adversity to define him, rather he kept focus on what he believed the Lord had called him to do.
Dan was a man of great conviction. He is remembered as a loving, caring, forgiving, sincere man who was committed to the lord, always sharing his great faith.
Dan is survived by his wife Amy, his furry friend Willy, his children and stepchildren, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dan and Amy wish to thank LifeCare Hospice for their genuine care and concern.
