Dorothy K (Kling) Chaney Mast, 83, of Dover, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away Friday morning June 20, 2025, at Sycamore Run Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be 11 am Wednesday June 25th at Killbuck Cemetery with Pastor Ron Bachman officiating. There will be no calling hours.

Dorothy was born September 12, 1941, in Coshocton County, Ohio and was the daughter of Gordon and Esther (Hagans) Kling. She married Larry Chaney, and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1972. She then married Carson M. Mast, and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2013. Dorothy worked at Shreiner Sole Company and retired from Castle Nursing Home. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and loved her cats.

She is survived by her two children, “Rick” Richard (Theresa) Kling of Glenmont and Denise Chaney of Killbuck; grandchildren Deidre Kling, Thorne Kling, Ryan Bachman, and Riley Bachman; great grandchildren Jade Bales and Arianna Jones; and half-sister Sandy (Mike) Patterson of Keene, Ohio.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather William King; sisters Marlene Bicknell and Mary Lou Matthews; and her brother Keith (Butch) Kling.
