Donna Rose

Donna Rose gained her angel wings Friday October 14, 2022. Always in good
spirits and remained strong since her diagnosis with ALS this year. Donna
married the love of her life; best friend, Terry Rose on September 28, 1979.
They started their family with their two children Terry Rose Jr (Kaylin, Riverlyn,
Emerick; Leeland) and Tina (Bill) Owens. Donna loved talking about her
family, she never missed a chance to show off her grandchildren and grandpups.
Donna was always so proud of her family. She was selfless with her energy and
time. Donna loved to garden, always had beautiful flower beds. She always made
sure all the birds got fed throughout the year. She was an amazing cook, never
wanted anyone to go hungry, she always over prepared. Donna loved to sew/quilt,
she enjoyed making personalized blankets for the family at Christmas time.
Donna attended Glenmont Church of Christ. She was a member of the flower club
of Glenmont; served on Holmes County Home Auxiliary Committee. Avid
donor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Donna was a 4-H Advisor for Buckeye 4-
H Club in the mid-90s and active with the Holmes County Fair during that time.
She worked at Rodhe’s IGA Grocery Store 20+ years and enjoyed working with
the public and was known for her smile and kindness.
Donna will be missed by her siblings, Larry Fortune, Ernie; Marlene Fortune and
her best friend; sister Nancy; Perry Morr. She was greeted in Heaven by her
parents, Harold; Mary Fortune and in-laws, Winfield; Pauline Rose
Her patience, love, kindness to all and her beautiful eyes and smile will be
remembered by all.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct 30th at Alexander Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Stivers officiating.
