Donald Owen Thomas, age 83, of Lakeville, Ohio passed away Friday January 7, 2022 at the Holmes County Home, Holmesville, Ohio following a short illness.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan 22nd at Nashville United Methodist Church in Nashville, Ohio. A private military graveside service will follow at the Nashville Cemetery.

Donald was born March 28, 1938 in Leesville, Ohio and was the son of Owen and Edith (Dootz) Thomas. On October 14, 1966 he married Rhonda D. Wilkin and she survives.
Donald was a 1957 graduate of East Canton High School and a graduate of Coyne Electronics in Chicago. He worked 37 years at Diamonite in Shreve, retiring in July of 2003. He owned the Thomas Family Farm in Lakeville, Ohio along with his brother Ed. Donald was a veteran of the US Army serving in Germany from 1961 to 1963. He was a NASCAR fan, liked trains and King Midget cars. Donald was a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church, the Garfield Lodge #528 Shreve, Ohio and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.
Surviving in addition to his wife Rhonda are three children, Ben Thomas of Lakeville, Ohio, Tom and Gwyn (Thomas) Lowe of Jamestown, Ohio and Tacy Barnhart (Richard Haun) of Lakeville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Taryn Lowe (Dallas Colley), Tommy (Kenzie) Lowe, Grayson Barnhart, Brett Barnhart, Gavin Thomas, Gabe Thomas and Selina Matheson; one great grandchild, Auri Lynn Matheson; and one sister, Pat (Ernie) Ware of Canton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edmund Thomas and William Thomas.
