Donald (Don) Snyder, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2023 after many years of declining health.

 

Don was born on October 27, 1950 to Edmund and Martha (Rhea) Snyder in Greenville, Ohio and was one of five children. Siblings include Albert (Jill) Schepis, Alberta (Tom) Hays, Cheryl (Tim) Hill, and Bruce (Rhonda) Snyder.

 

As a young man, he enjoyed raising Yorkshire pigs, pitching baseball, fishing, and sales.  While studying Animal Science, at The Ohio State University, he took a summer job as the stable manager at Sky View Ranch in Millersburg, Ohio. It was there that he met his future wife, Joan Boyd. 

 

Don and Joan were married on December 15, 1972 and were blessed with four wonderful children: Nathan (Amy), Christa, David (Suzanne), and Daniel (Sandra). Eight beautiful grandchildren complete the family: Laci, Jaret, Aaron, Allyson, Annabelle, Ashton, Katherine, and Alexandra Snyder. 

 

The Snyder family would like to thank Dr. Lisa Malys for many years of compassionate care as well as Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare for easing Don’s pain and suffering during his final days.
