Crandall Crane Obituary

Together Again

Crandall Boyd Crane, 84, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 24th, 2023 after a hard fought battle with cancer, four days after the death of his loving wife Gloria. We believe they wanted to leave this earth together.

He was born May 28, 1938 to Hollister and Lillian (Brown) Crane in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. He married Gloria Dunlap on May 29, 1965 and she preceded him in death. He was the father of two sons: Jay (Dorothy) Crane of Glenmont and Kirby (Donna) Crane of Millersburg. A loving and dedicated grandfather to his grandson, Hunter Crane (Kallie Frazier). A special grandfather to Amy (Troy) Miller of Killbuck, Rob (Dulcie) Snow of Millersburg, Justin (Joleen) Haudenschild of Millersburg and Haley (Scott) Zollars of Warsaw. A special great grandfather to Alexis (Garrett) Blake, Alivia (Ryan) King, Oliver Fleming, Jett and Jase Haudenschild, and Caden and Kaizer Zollars. A special great great grandfather to Easton, Ensley and Lynden Blake. He is also survived by siblings, Julie (Jim) Gerlach of Elkhorn Wisconsin, Dennis (Pat) Crane of Arizona and Doug (Tracy) Crane of North Carolina.

He worked as an auto and motorcycle mechanic. He was a self employed Dump truck driver and worked at Guggisberg Cheese as a truck driver. He was in the National Guard and Reserves. He was an avid motorcycle rider, and enjoyed many rides with his wife and several friends over the years. He enjoyed operating his HAM radio, telling us that the farthest he had talked to someone was in northern Russia. He enjoyed his Friday night evenings hanging out with his friends in the garage. Making memories to last a lifetime.

He was preceded in death, by his wife; parents; and a sister, Aileen Crane.

Dad you are together again with Mom. We love you Dad. Signing off N8YDK and KJQ7792 "The Shadow".

The family would like to thank Dr. Latouf, the staff at Sycamore Run Nursing Home and the staff of LifeCare Hospice for his care.

A private family graveside service will be held at Killbuck Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio.
