Clara E. (Ames) Crider

Clara E. (Ames) Crider, 84, formerly of Millersburg, Ohio, passed away January 30, 2021, after a period of declining health which worsened after having covid. Clara was born October 17, 1936 in Millersburg to the late Raymond and Jessie (Rowe) Ames. She married Melvin Crider on August 16, 1952.

She was employed by the Addressograph-Multigraph Co. previously in Holmesville, Ohio, before it closed down. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, cooking, crocheting and shopping for afghans.

Surviving are her daughters Sheila (Rene) Wengerd, Shelley (Mark) Marini, and son Bill (Cathy) Crider; grandchildren, Staci Lecky, Korrina Thomas, Holly Luzader, Corey Crider, Allyson Crider and Anthony Marini; great grandchildren, Keaton Coblentz, Kaili Coblentz, Mckailla Parsons, Ryleigh Zickefoose, Niyah Lecky and Caydence Crider; and siblings, Martha Gilbert, Mildred Greegor, Barbara Mitchell, Luther Ames, and Bruce Ames. 

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, William Ames, Virginia Barnhart, Shirley Martin, Dale H. Ames, J. Joan Rodhe, Betty Engelhardt, Bruce Ames, Patricia Russell, Marsha Robinson, and infant sisters Nellie Ames, Laverine Ames, and Karen Ames.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 4th, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg Ohio. Burial will be at Wolfcreek/Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Calling hours will be two hours prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
