Cindy Lee Rowe Obituary

Cindy Lee Rowe peacefully entered through the heavenly gates Wednesday morning July 30th, 2025.
Cindy was born April 5, 1958 to Virginia (Bower) Purdy and the late David Bower in Glenmont, Ohio. She was the oldest of 5 siblings that she loved so much and felt blessed to be their big sister. She grew up riding horses, spending time with grandparents and extended family and being a true country kid.

She met the love of her life and soul mate (2 into 1) Buddy Rowe and they married August 8, 1976. They went on to have daughters Shay, Sarah, and Sonya where she thrived as a home maker. She filled the house with homemade spaghetti sauces, canned fruits and veggies, peanut butter cookies, so many back scratches, and “rain drops on roses”, so many big dinners around the table whether you were family or not, she was feeding you. She was the ultimate mother her whole life.
Cindy went on to nursing school once her youngest was in kindergarten where she excelled as a natural caregiver and teacher. She spent many years at Castle Nursing Holmes and continued to further her education throughout most of her life. If you knew her in everyday life or through her nursing career you would at the very least walk away feeling loved.

Later in life Cindy became a grandmother and great greatmother "Muggy/Gee" to her angel babies that she always thought were the best at any sport, most attractive, and smartest and reminded them daily. She loved rocking “babies” no matter what the age.
Cindy was a christian and a wonderful example of Christ’s love that is poured out through action.

She is survived by daughters and special son in laws: Sarah (Chris Evans) Manson and Sonya (Bryan) Lydic; grand children: Portia (Buddy) Beckett, Ethan Harford, Brooklyn and Brielle Lydic, and Isabella Manson; great grands: Waylon Joseph, Mabel Grace, Norah Lee, and Mille Joy. Her mother whom she cherished so much, Virginia Purdy; brothers, sisters and in-laws that were her absolute best friends: Linda (Don) Duncan, John (Tracey) Bower, Matt (Cindy) Bower, Angie (Marty) Morris; and many nieces and nephews that she loved so much.
She is preceded in death and happily reunited with her husband, Buddy Rowe; daughter, Shay Rowe; her precious sons; her father, David Bower; niece, Letha Bower; and her best friend since age 15, Maureen Bauer.

Cindy will be missed so deeply by her family, but also so many life long, and new friends, but we hold on to the hope and promise we will get to see her again. One of her favorite verses that she lived by Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
