Christine Ann (Purdy) Bosley, age 59 of Glenmont, Ohio passed away at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster, Ohio on Friday, August 25, 2023 after a 10 month battle with cancer. Chrissie was born on April 15, 1964 at Kettering Hospital in Loudonville, Ohio and spent her life in the beautiful hills surrounding Glenmont and Loudonville. She graduated from West Holmes High School in 1982 and attended Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio receiving a degree in Accounting and Business.
She is survived by her fiance and love of her life and caregiver, Jeff Wells of Glenmont; her beloved son, Zachary Bosley of Glenmont; her aunts and caregivers: Redajean (Bobby) Stinemetz of Perryville and Maxine (Jeff) Wierbiki of Ashland; first cousins: Rodney (Teresa) Badertscher of Polk, Regina (Tommy) Theisen of Loudonville, Stephen Wierbiki (Tiffany Gregg) of Ashland, Laura Purdy (Christopher Beckett) of Akron, and Ryan (April) Stinemetz of Reedsburg; special friends: Daryl and Terry Perrine of Wooster and T.A. Perrine of Wooster; her lifelong friend and neighbor Cindy and Todd VanSickle, and Louise and Chris Smith of Wooster; her son Zachary's father, Tad Bosley of Wooster; and her "Fur babies", Bella (miniature schnauzer), Houdini and Little Kitty (the cats). Her pets were with her everyday, snuggling and standing guard; a great comfort to her during her illness and always made her smile.
Chrissie was employed at Baaron Inc. for 29 years, working alongside her friends, Daryl and T.A. From 2020 through early 2023 she worked for Cor Bon, her illness then no longer allowed her to continue.
She was a lover of nature and the outdoors, watching her birds, tending her flowers, and walking in the woods. She and Jeff enjoyed five years of camping at their RV, spending time fishing with Zachary and talking with family and friends. They also enjoyed spur of the moment outings together, two adventurers who relished one another's company.
Chris was a member of Richland Township EMS, receiving her EMT card in 1988 and always supported the members of the Fire Department and EMS squads. She served on Village council of Glenmont and was active on the Glenmont Homecoming Committee.
Her personality was vivacious, her laughter infectious, her caring for people always kind. Chrissie was smart, sassy and independent and there was very little she could not do. She loved driving her backhoe, moving rocks and bushes, and whatever else she felt should be moved. She lived her life to the fullest and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The world is a lesser place, the heavens have a new star.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Richard E. and Carolann Purdy, both who were active with her at Richland Township EMS. Her paternal grandparents, Glenn and Florence Purdy of Glenmont; maternal grandparents, Lester and Dorothea Weaver of Loudonville; and her uncle, Terry A. Purdy of Glenmont.
