Charles Dennis Phillips, Jr. age 62, went home to be with Jesus June 12, 2025, at his residence, following a short, unexpected illness.

Friends may call Wednesday June 18th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Welcome Church of Christ. 

A private funeral and burial will take place.

Charles was born May 26, 1963, in Urbana, Ohio and was the son of Charles Dennis and Judith (Brentlinger) Phillips, Sr.  On November 22, 1990, he married Susanna Eicher, and she survives.  Charles was a jack of all trades, always fixing and working on things.  Growing up his father nicknamed him "Doc". He is still known as "Doc" by his family to this day. He enjoyed hunting arrowheads and eagle watching.  He loved spending time with family and his grandchildren were the joy of his life.  Chuck was patient in suffering, steadfast in hope, rejoicing in the mercies of the God who saved him, pursued and kept him all these years. His deepest desire and prayers were for all men to know his Savior and be reunited again for all eternity.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 34 years Susanna, are two children: Tonya (Nathan) Keim and Charles Addison (Aubrey) Phillips; three grandchildren: Allison, Miranda, and Shawn Keim; Mother-in-law Ruth Eicher; siblings: Kim Hudson, Steve Phillips, and Jim Phillips; brothers-in-law: Jerry (Tina) Echer, John (Ruth) Eicher, Jacob (Ruby) Eicher, Sam (Janet) Eicher Jr.; sisters-in-law: Miriam (John) Yoder and Sara Hochstetler.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Sam Eicher and brother-in-law Joe Hochstetler.
