Charles S. Crone

Charles S. Crone age 74, of Shreve, Ohio passed away September 24, 2023, at home following a period of declining health. 

Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday September 30, 2023, at Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg.  Burial will follow at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, Ohio.  Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Charles was born February 12, 1949, in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Howard E. Sr. and Beatrice (Hastings) Crone.  He married Deanna “Dee” Shearer, she preceded him in death in 2012.  Charles was a 1967 graduate of Waynedale High School.  He continued his education at LCCC, graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1969.  Charles was a member of the National Guard after graduation.  He enjoyed competing in the demolition derby at the local county fairs and drag racing at Dragway 42.  Charles was a member of the Holmesville Conservation Club. 

Charles is survived by two stepchildren: Miki (Tim) Teichmer of Providence Village, TX and Kathy (Ralph) Camacho; grandchildren: Nathan, Joseph and Laura Teichmer and Manny (Sydney) and Mateo (Brooklyn Troyer) Camacho; siblings: Howard E. (Niccie) Crone Jr., A. Arlene (Greg) Sparks, Linda (Dave) Mollenshott, John (Beth) Crone and Rosemary Crone and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
