Cary "Tubby" L. Summers, age 73, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 22, 2020 at Wooster Community Hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be 12 noon on Monday, January 4th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor James Butler officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. to time of service on Monday at the funeral home where rules of social distancing will be followed. Masks are required and occupancy limits will also be enforced. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.

Cary was born March 20, 1947 in Clay, West Virginia and was the son of Leslie and Maxine (Ohse) Summers. On November 1, 1968 he married Betty Dawson and she survives. 
Cary was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Temple and was a former trustee. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the US Army and was awarded The Purple Heart. 
Cary was a loving husband for 52 years and a loving father and grandfather. He loved the Lord and his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Teresa Ash, Bonnie (Jeff) Ringler and Les Summers all of Millersburg; five grandchildren, Gerald, Jessica, Ashley, Catline and Austin; two great-grandchildren, Madelynn and Maximus; two brothers, Dennis Justice and Robert Summers both of Millersburg; and three sisters, Opal Ellis, Patsy Gawler and Linda Sue Graham both of Millersburg.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Garnett Truman and Carolyn Hesson; four brothers, Paul Summers, Cecil Summers, Junior Jarvis and Arlis Justice; a grandson, Jefferson D. Ringler Jr.; and a great granddaughter, Everleigh.
