Carol McKinney

Carol McKinney, age 70, of Big Prairie, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family, following an extended illness .
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday Jan. 9th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Chaplin Ginger Pflueger officiating. Burial will take place at Nashville Cemetery, Nashville, Ohio. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the humane society of the donor's choice. 
Carol was born January 7, 1952 in Anjean, West Virginia and was the daughter of Ralph S. and Helen E. (French) Morris. On November 16, 1979 she married Ned McKinney and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2020 .
Carol worked 36 and 1/2 years at Frito-Lay in Wooster, retiring in 2015. She enjoyed reading, her flower beds, feeding birds and squirrels and she loved working crossword puzzles .
She is survived by two children and their spouses: son, Mike (Cindy) Shires of Shreve and daughter, Miranda (Mark) Bevington a Big Prairie; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters: Trish (Terry) Fleshman and Frances Via; two brothers: Doug (Anya) Morris and Clyde Morris; and a sister-in-law, Patty Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters: Janet Talbott and Anna Mae Ruby; and brothers: Joe, Ronald and David Morris.
Carol sends a special thanks to all of her family and friends who have supported her through this illness. Her family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to LifeCare Hospice for the love, care and support that was given to Carol.
