Carl J. "Jim" Patterson

Carl J. "Jim" Patterson, age 80 of Killbuck, Ohio passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 10, 2022 while vacationing with his wife, Kathleen and brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Sandy Patterson.

Jim was born on September 16, 1941. He graduated from Killbuck High School in 1959. Jim married Kathleen (Croskey) Patterson on September 12, 1965.

He was a long time member of the Wolfcreek Baptist Church where he held many offices. Jim was a man of many trades; such as a draftsman, contractor, estimator, business owner and fiscal officer for Richland Township for 12 years. He was a laid back, easy going, kind hearted soul with an infectious smile. He was an inspiration for all of those who were lucky enough to know him. Jim was an avid hunter, a builder and absolutely love spending time with his family as well as his church friends and family.

Jim is survived by his wife, Kathleen Patterson of Killbuck; his sons: Stacy (Bonnie Boehm) Patterson of Blissfield and Steve (Penny) Patterson of Killbuck; his daughters: Sherie (Chad) Mencer of Glenmont and Susanne (Art) Jones of Layland; brothers: Dick (Sandy) Patterson of Killbuck and Ed (Deb) Patterson of Glenmont; sister-in-law, Wanda Patterson of Millersburg; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard "Pat" and Eileen Patterson; a brother, Joseph Patterson; and a niece, Sheila (Patterson) Bickel.

The family is having a private service and burial at a later date. If you would like to pay your respects, there will be a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Wolfcreek Baptist Church in Stillwell.
