Calvin "Skip" Klingerman, 76, of Holmesville, Ohio went to meet the Lord on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
Skip was born April 10, 1945 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Cal and Jennie Klingerman. He married Virginia Vaubel on July 15, 1967 at the Shreve Methodist Church.
Through many adventures, Skip and Ginny found their love making chocolate, running a concession stand business, where he was known as "Lemonade Man", and then opening Skip's Trail Depot and Car Wash. During that time Skip drove school bus for Southeast Local Schools for 25 years. Throughout that time Skip was well known for his stories and trivia contest. The love of his life was his wife, known as "Skip's wife". He was a member of Holmesville Methodist Church, former member of Holmesville Fire Department, Holmes Conservation Club and helped start up Holmes County Rails to Trails.
Skip is survived by his wife, Ginny; a son, Larry (Molly) Klingerman of Moyock, NC; a daughter, Christine (Keith) Plank of Shreve, Ohio; grandchildren, Bond Klingerman, Shelby Klingerman, Stacey Plank, Hunter Plank, Mikey Yates; and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Paul Klingerman of Apple Creek and niece, Kathy Klingerman of St. Pete, Florida.
Preceding him in death is his parents; brother, Dean Klingerman; sister, Virginia Fortune; brother-in-law, Raymond Fortune; and sister-in-law, Norma Klingerman.
A Celebration of Life gathering will take place from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26th at the Holmesville Elementary School gymnasium with services and a time for sharing of memories beginning at 4:00 p.m. On-line condolences can be made by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.
