Bonnie Smail Obituary

Bonnie Lisle Smail, 63, of Killbuck, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 4, 2022 surrounded by loving family. She was born December 31, 1958 in Millersburg, Ohio to Otto and Dorothy (Weaver) Lisle, who preceded her in death.

Bonnie was an industrious woman, enjoying 46 years employment with previous and current owners, colleagues and customers of Sperry and Rice LLC in Killbuck. She currently had served as Quality Manager and Engineer in both the Killbuck and Brookville, Indiana plants. Besides her passion for her career, she loved the Lord and was baptized into Christ as a young teen. Bonnie was a dreamer, storyteller, loved history, researching the family's genealogy, enjoyed the arts, horses and living on "the plantation."

She loved her family and friends with which she enjoyed many beach vacations, adventures and holiday gatherings, always providing a source for great laughter and memories. She was active in her community, helping with Killbuck Early American Days and numerous other local fundraisers.

Her greatest pride is her son, Bruce (Alyssa) Smail. She is also survived by sisters, Julia (Dan) Meehan and Amy (Doyle) Schonauer; numerous nieces and nephews who she adored, Jeri (Bryan) Phillips, Marlea and Nevin, Jason (Steph) Arnold, Liberty, Camron and Avery, Karli (Ryan) Stroud, Seger and Sutton, Daniel Meehan, Leah Schonauer, Lydia (Lavern) Miller, Jonathan Schonauer and Jeremy Schonauer; her aunt, Donna Humrichouser; many cousins; and dear friends, Linda Frenette and Lee Quinn.

A special thanks to Heather Angle, Pomerene Hospital and to LifeCare Hospice for such compassionate care.
