Bonnie Littleton Obituary

HOLMESVILLE– Bonnie Lititia Littleton, 91, of Holmesville died peacefully on April 10th at Danbury Senior Living, Millersburg, OH.

She was born November 16, 1931 in Akron, Ohio to the late Charles and Isabelle Rowley. Bonnie was raised in Summit County, OH, attended Greensburg High School and graduated with a degree from Barberton Business School. In 1962 she moved with her family to Holmes County to “The Farm”. In 1966 she joined The Ohio State University Plant Pathology Dept. in Wooster. She loved her job and her co-workers retiring in 1993.  She was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church and served as a member of the Endowment Committee. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, flowers (she had the ultimate green thumb!), genealogy and restoring houses. Bonnie was stoic, strong and self-reliant. Her favorite place on earth was “The Farm”.

Bonnie lost her cherished husband of 69 years, Gordon, in March of 2018.  Surviving are her children Gordon H. Littleton of Livermore, Colorado, Linda Arwood of Holmesville, OH,  Dawn (Frank) Sturges of Delaware, OH,  and  Laura  (George) Trenchard of Oak Harbor, OH.  Surviving also are seven grandchildren: Amy Marie Arwood, Jerrod Jones, Israel (Greta) Jones, Addison Jones, Brett Littleton, Josiah (Jennifer) Horn and Zoe Sturges plus 6 great grandchildren. She was the loving sibling to brothers William (Karen) Rowley, the late Chestley (Dee) Rowley and late sister Carol Sue (Bob) Bussey. She had numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly plus many treasured cousins and friends.

We thank God He gave her to us. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Hopewell Church Endowment Fund.
