Betty Masters Obituary

Betty Lou Masters, age 89, of Millersburg, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Thursday evening, April 16th, 2026, at Majora Lane Care Center, Millersburg, Ohio following a period of declining health.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 21st at Gateway Fellowship, 1287 Massillon Rd, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor Larry Hasemeyer officiating. Burial will take place at Killbuck Cemetery, Killbuck, Ohio. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Love Center or to the Millersburg Church of God food pantry.

Betty Lou was born April 26th, 1936, in Warsaw, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Wallace and Beulah Mae (Bickel) Markley. She married Paul Masters in May of 1956, and he preceded her in death in September of 1969.

Betty Lou had a heart for children. She was involved with Bible school, drove the Jesus loves you bus, was involved with mission work locally in the county and also worldwide. She was a member of Gateway Fellowship Church (formerly known as Lighthouse Christian Fellowship). She enjoyed being in the garden, sewing, flowers and reading her Bible.

She is survived by children and their spouses: David Lee (Patty) Masters, Betty Eileen Masters, Daniel (Mary) Masters and Roger (Renee) Masters; grandchildren: David (Michelle) Masters, Dustin (Tieraney) Masters, Whitney (Joe) Hartman, Josh (Miranda) Masters, Calli Masters, Nicole (Danny) Croll, Lindsey Masters, Brittney (Brayden) Vess, Cory Masters, and Zak (Kacie) Sommers; great grandchildren: Brevon (Haley), Tyler (Paxton), Cami, Logan, Zebadiah, Violet, Emmett, Kannon and one more on the way; and great-great grandchild: Grayson and one more on the way. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law and a step-sister and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Rita Robertson and her stepmother, Mary.
