Barbara Ann Atkinson

Barbara Ann Atkinson, age 73, of Killbuck, Ohio passed away at her home on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 surrounded by her family, following a period of declining health.

A private Celebration of Life will take place. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

Barbara was born May 30, 1950 in Apple Creek, Ohio and was the daughter of Edward Hugh and Florence Evelyn (Patterson) Baker. She married Larry Atkinson and he preceded her in death on July 7th, 2007.

Barbara worked at Castle Nursing Home as an STNA for many years and was a prep cook for the Darb Snyder Senior Center in Millersburg. She also worked part-time as a prep cook at the Millersburg McDonald's. Barbara enjoyed word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and reading. She had a kind, loving spirit that will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her two sons: Rod (Tracy) Baker and Jr. Atkinson both of Killbuck, Ohio; three grandchildren: Gus Baker (Kristen Le), Ali (Blake) Shamp and Larry Atkinson III; five great grandchildren: Holdyn, Rozlinn, Bella and Saint Shamp and Michael Le; three siblings: Edward Baker of Killbuck, Ohio, Karen Frazier of Killbuck, Ohio and Jesse Baker of Wooster, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; and her good friends Elaine Shoup and Vonda Gamerstfelder.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Larry.
