Atlee R. Raber 81, of Millersburg, Ohio went home to be with the Lord, Sunday April 26, 2026, at Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice in Wooster following a period of declining health.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday April 30th at Grace Church Berlin with Pastor Chad Stutzman officiating. Burial will follow at Berlin Township Community Cemetery, Berlin, Ohio.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday April 29th at the church and one hour prior to the service Thursday.

Atlee was born July 9, 1944, in Holmes County, Ohio and was the son of Roy J. and Lydia (Miller) Raber. He married Marilyn Weaver Woods on February 20, 1999, and she survives. Atlee worked for Hipp Lumber for most of his career. Atlee fulfilled his obligations during the Vietnam era draft by completing alternative civilian service under a 1-W classification at Galion Hospital for 2 years. He was affiliated with Grace Church in Berlin. Atlee had a deep love for the outdoors—he enjoyed fishing, hunting, searching for mushrooms, and traveling throughout the western United States and Canada with his extended family. He also took pleasure in bird watching and woodworking. Atlee firmly believed in his faith and consistently demonstrated it through his actions. He read the Bible in a year many years in a row.
Surviving in addition to his wife Marilyn are his children and their families, son Joshua (Michelle) Raber, grandchildren Justin (Trisha) Ross, Amanda Raber, and Jacob Raber, great grandchildren Easton and Hudson Ross; son Jason (Elizabeth) Raber, grandchildren Abby Raber and Grant Raber; daughter Jacqueline (John) Remy, grandchildren Jarod (Elina) Remy, Jackson (Anaka) Remy; daughter Jessica George, grandchildren Joe George, Katie George, Oscar George, Teddy George, Jesse George; Julie (Allen) Woods Gayheart, grandchildren Megan (Josh) Rowland, Colleen Gayheart, Nicole Gayheart, Brian Gayheart, great grandchildren Aubrey, Jaxon, and Lane Rowland, daughter-in-law Jill Woods, grandchildren Cory Christian and Kelsen Woods and great grandson Waylon Christian. He is also survived by his siblings, Amanda Miller, Lizzie Troyer, Ella (Adin) Schlabach, Lena (Levi) Stutzman, Anna Yoder, Esther (Alvin) Mast, Ada (Albert) Yoder, Lydiann (Roman) Mast, Norman (Judy) Raber and Edna (Marvin) Yoder and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Anna (Troyer) Raber, son Curtis Woods, brother Mose R. Raber, brothers-in-law Andy Miller, Levi J.P. Troyer, Levi Yoder and his first wife, Sylvia (Hardman) Raber, mother of Joshua, Jason, Jacqueline, and Jessica.
Atlee's family would like to thank Wooster Hospital Infusion Center nurses for their loving care over the past eight years and Dr. Masci for his compassionate care.
