Ashley E. Malachin

Ashley E. Malachin, age 40, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Sunday, June 4th at Millersburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Paula Koch officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Ashley was born May 10, 1983 in Massillon, Ohio and was the daughter of Paula (Mackey) Dodd and Guy Miller. On May 2, 2009 she married Mickey Malachin and he survives.

Ashley was a 2001 graduate of Waynedale High School. She worked at Millersburg Walmart for 20 years. Ashley loved visiting the beach, thrifting and photography.  She could always be found cheering on her children, nieces and nephews at their sporting events.

Surviving in addition to her husband Mickey are her children: Corbin, Gabrielle, Cierra and Brinley; her father, Guy Miller of Mt. Eaton; step father, Gene Dodd of Winesburg; Aunt Beth; siblings: Mindy (Sean) Kaminski of North Ridgeville, Cody (Brittany) Miller of Brewster, Zane Raber of Winesburg, Ryan (Tia) Miller of Navarre and Dillon Raber of Strausburg; grandmother, Peg Thompson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Metro and Karen Malachin of Millersburg; sisters-in-law: Nicole (Michael) Shoemaker of Millersburg and Melissa Capalingo of Sugarcreek; brother-in-law, Andrew ( Christina) Malachin of Dover; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and many special friends that she considered sisters.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Paula Dodd; grandfather and grandmother, Richard and Marilyn Miller, and grandfather, Robert Thompson.
