Anita Jane (Fritz) Sherwin, age 78, of Big Prairie, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Aultman Hospital, Canton, Ohio following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be 12:15 p.m. Thursday, March 28th at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio with Pastor Dale Duncan officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the US Army Honor Guard. The funeral procession will leave Alexander Funeral Home, 8612 State Route 39 West, Millersburg, Ohio at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 28th to head to the cemetery for the graveside service.

Anita was born July 14, 1945. She was the second of five children born to Willard and Florence Fritz. Her brothers: Dennis Fritz of Red Oak, Virginia and Gene Fritz of Big Prairie, Ohio and her sisters: Beth (Fritz) Farrow and husband, Raffael of Swan Quarter, North Carolina and Sue (Fritz) Hecht of Big Prairie, Ohio remain to mourn her passing.

She is also survived by her son, Anthony Joseph "TJ" Sherwin; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Her husband, William J. Sherwin passed away in 2021 and daughter, Lyne (Sherwin) Miller passed away in 2022. In addition to her parents; spouse; and daughter, she was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
