Angela D. "Angie" Alexander, age 72, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 8th, 2021 with her family by her side.
Angie was born January 17th, 1949 in Denver, Colorado and was the daughter of the late Angel "Tony" and Paula (Carmichael) Garcia. On March 12th, 1971 she married the love of her life, Ronald L. Alexander and together they shared 50 years of loving each other through life's ups and downs, making countless memories, always putting each other, their family, and most importantly their faith in God first.
Angie grew up for the most part in the Cincinnati area but always talked about long stays in Kentucky with her grandparents whom she loved dearly. She was a 1968 graduate of Aiken High School and had been a model for Paul Harris in Cincinnati. Once she met her "Andrew Jackson" (Ronnie) they married a year later, settled in Millersburg and began life's journey together by starting a family. She became a housewife and home maker, was a 911 dispatcher for Shreve's EMS, ran the Touch of Time Bed and Breakfast, was owner and operator of The Himalayan Valley Company and helped her husband with our family's funeral home. Angie loved to travel, but also loved to come home to her family, she would always say "There's no place like home" and oddly enough The Wizard of Oz was one of her favorite movies. Angie was a member of St. John's ECC of Millersburg where she had been active in the Women's Ministry and sang in the choir. She enjoyed feeding the birds that she watched every morning out her front window sitting alongside her husband, drinking her coffee, reading the Bible and dreaming of future plans. She loved working on puzzles and sitting down by the river in Gallipolis on her favorite park bench with her husband. She was an avid reader, mysteries being one of her favorite genres and enjoyed weekly Saturday Svengoolie movie nights with her sister over the phone. She was the world's best wife, mom, grandma, Gigi and sister that anyone could ever ask for and will be missed every day until we meet her again in Heaven.
Angie is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ron and their three children, James A. (Brandee) Alexander, Tiffany L. (Jerry) Rouse and Jacob B. (Rachel) Alexander all of Millersburg; six beautiful grandchildren who all have a heart of gold just like their grandma, Madison Rouse (Chas Morris), Jed (Makayla) Alexander, Nadia Rouse (Major Mackey), Alicia Alexander, Kale Alexander and Gavin Alexander; two precious great-grandchildren that held the key to her heart, Finlee Bowen Morris and Mazlee Arrow Morris; her one and only sister, Theresa (Larry) Sutherland; an aunt, Ruby Willoughby; a very special cousin, Kenny Willoughby; her sister-in-law, Debbie (Jeff) Baker; nephew, Jason (Candy) Baker; niece, Mary (David) Taylor; several great nieces and nephews; and her best friends and sisters by heart, Deb Chase and Karen Questel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Paula Garcia; her in-laws, Jim and Dollie Alexander; and an infant brother, Michael Joseph Garcia.
Private funeral services will take place at Alexander Funeral Home with a private burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. Friends may call Sunday, August 15th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
